Wæm Vov Jĭìy (/vov/ /ʤɨj/ [free; wild] [lumber]) is a subtropical Town located in Higsæv Zone, Ěslorvogwin District, within the Federation of Alveria.

The name Wæm Vov Jĭìy is derived from the Constructi language, as Wæm Vov Jĭìy was founded by Xv-28z 'Brazen' Glkëmêpí, who was culturaly Constructi.

Climate

Wæm Vov Jĭìy has a yearly average temperature of 26°C (78°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a warm 30°C (86°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a pleasant 23°C (73°F). Wæm Vov Jĭìy receives an average of 210 cm/y (82 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the fall. Overview

Wæm Vov Jĭìy was founded durring the early 14th century in summer of the year 1307, by Xv-28z 'Brazen' Glkëmêpí. The establishment of Wæm Vov Jĭìy suffered from several major issues, resulting in the need to develop many solutions to basic problems. Problems such as a lack of fresh water, logistical support, poor quality tools, and the odd monster or two. Howeaver, these were overcome in time.

Wæm Vov Jĭìy was built using the conventions of Constructi durring the early 14th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Wæm Vov Jĭìy is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature plaster covered brickwork used to form structures with an emphasis on symmetry, proportion, geometry and the regularity of parts. Orderly arrangements of columns, pilasters and lintels, as well as the use of semicircular arches, hemispherical domes, niches and aediculae can be found everywhere such that only size of building and yard can be used to measure the general prosparity of a given building's owners due to a general wealthy feeling the style gives off.

Wæm Vov Jĭìy is buildings are arranged arround a network of broad gravel streets which form a grid, where each square verries in size given the proximity of the paralell streets forming each section. The ocasional smaller square has been used to construct a park, plaza, and other communal structures. The town sits comfortably behind a palisade wall complete with a timber gatehouse and battlments. The first thing you notice about Wæm Vov Jĭìy is the large sign at the entrance welcoming you to their humble town. Children come up to you and say hi, some asking if you’ve fought any big monsters, and others just zipping away after their hello. The adults are much the same. By the time you’ve made it a significant way into the town you’ve been invited to a tavern for a pint to drink in exchange for news of the world. You’ve also had no less than three older women give you a sweetroll and direct your attention to their still unmarried children. It would be creepy if it wasn't so sincere.

Civic Infrastructure

Wæm Vov Jĭìy has an Office of Civil Groundskeeping, which works to enforce local ordinances relating to the construction and upkeep up of all plant life, water features, and other natural decorations within Wæm Vov Jĭìy. They are also responsible for the maintenance of these features. Notably, the OCG is not responsible for Wæm Vov Jĭìy's parks.

Wæm Vov Jĭìy possesses a Galvanic Power Grid, which brings galvanic current to most if not all buildings in town, and permits a great many consumer goods to function within the Town. Wæm Vov Jĭìy's grid is powered by a god's will and kindness.

Wæm Vov Jĭìy's old civil lighting system was converted to Galvanic Lamps recently, and expanded to provide nighttime illumination to all city streets.

Wæm Vov Jĭìy has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands. They are not to be confused with the Office of Civil Groundskeeping as they do not hold authority over nor responsibility for Wæm Vov Jĭìy's natural decorations nor waterways.

Wæm Vov Jĭìy has a public septic system, which allows its citizens to have indoor bathrooms. The septic system is overseen by the League of Sewerkeepers, who posses the legal authority to enforce all laws relating to the septic system, and are also tasked with its maintenance and upkeep.

Cultural Notes

Wæm Vov Jĭìy's garrison was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used has a sleek, linear appearance with stylized, often geometric ornamentation. The primary facade of its buildings often featured a series of set backs that create a stepped outline. Low-relief decorative panels can be found at entrances, around windows, along roof edges or as string courses. It was best known for its use of smooth finish building materials such as stucco, concrete block, glazed brick or mosaic tile. Decorative details can incorporate various artistic or exotic motifs to suit the building's function or the architect's whim. Chevrons, zigzags, and other geometrical motifs are common forms of ornament.

Due to the actions of local Kami, spring is recurring in Wæm Vov Jĭìy.

The Hippogriff near Wæm Vov Jĭìy are known to be more aggressive than normal.

Wæm Vov Jĭìy's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in autumn and involves long periods of drunkenness to channel Illusion energies of tier 1 via oath swearing.
